Picture That!

On Sunday April 24th the Brampton Concert Band performed a ‘fine art’ themed concert. The performance included three guest artists who created works using various media. A drum feature rounded off the performance. The audience was taken on a figurative journey through an art gallery and the evening was a great success. See pictures and video below.

Jessica De Pippo, Artist and Multimedia Designer was asked if she could create a piece of artwork inspired by Michael Sweeney’s piece Earthdance. See her video below, it is just incredible! Please check her page out at https://www.facebook.com/jessica.depippo.multimedia/?fref=nf

“Spirits in Time” is a charcoal piece inspired by the music of Michael Sweeney, Earthdance. Work created for the Brampton Concert Bands show entitled “Picture This”.

Artist Catherine Feret was also asked to share her talent with BCB. She created a water colour piece inspired by the music of Randol Alan Bass, Shenandoah. Check her website out at: http://www.helloimcatherineferet.com

It was wonderful to hear from one of the composers featured on our Picture This concert. We sent him the time lapse video of Jessica DePippo’s Earthdance inspired art.

“What a wonderfully creative idea! And kudos to the artist. Her work is marvelous.
